Helping tell the story of Seattle’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the City’s transparent, responsible, and equitable spending of federal funding
The City of Seattle’s Innovation and Performance team contacted us in 2022 with a unique challenge. Design an easy-to-read, accessible digital report on how the City has spent federal American Rescue Plan Act grant funds and tells the story of the impact and value the City’s Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund brought to the community. And deliver it in a month. Anchoring the report in the City’s primary blue color, we developed colors and icons for the primary investment areas and incorporated images from a variety of sources including local photographer Tim Durkan who generously donated the use of his photos. This year, we were asked to produce the updated 2023 report – and using the lessons learned from last year, we again met the timeline of just one month.
